Diego Shalom

Doctor in Physical Sciences from the Balseiro Institute (National University of Cuyo), he is a CONICET researcher at the Integrative Neuroscience Laboratory and professor at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).

He worked for several years with Josephson Junctions Networks, microscopic devices with very simple individual behavior, but when connecting a large number of them, global, emergent behaviors appear, which give a description to a higher, macroscopic order. Now he mainly studies the movements of the eyes which occur during the reading, to try to understand how we process, manipulate, organize that information, with the brain, with the neurons.
