ARS Electronica Festival 2020
-Festival for Art, Technology & Society-
In Kepler’s Gardens
9-13 Sept.
With the simultaneity and duality of local-physical and globally networked events all over the world, Ars Electronica 2020 became an exciting experimental laboratory and prototype for a next-level networking that will focus primarily on new forms and possibilities of fusion and coexistence of analog and digital, real and virtual, physical and telematic proximity.
Starting in Linz and working with partner gardens from Ars Electronica’s extraordinarily large international network, “real” events took place in many places, with “real” artists and scientists for “real” audiences, all of which was networked into a festival from September 9 to 13.
As part of our participation in the Ars Electronica Festival 2020, Muntref Arte y Ciencia has created The Garden of Curiosity as an interactive navigable visualization work. Muntref Arte y Ciencia can be thought of as a diverse ecosystem. Since 2011, it has been weaving connections with people from diverse disciplines, groups of students, different institutions and several technical environments. Inspirational and empathic relationships have also been spread through this growing network.
